All combinations at the barre and in the center begin to increase in difficulty of pattern and movement. Emphasis is placed on the proper technique of pirouettes and other beginner/ intermediate level turns. Center work begins to combine steps together such as glissades, jetes, pas de chats, changements, etc.
French terminology is expected and students increase their knowledge of their ballet vocabulary.
The typical Level II student takes Ballet class one to two times a week and usually studies other styles of dance to strengthen quality of movement and style.
