Level I Ballet

level-I-balletintroduces basic barre work along with appropriate French terminology. Students are introduced to basic port de bra, adagio (slow controlled movement) and allegro (quick movement). Steps are introduced one at a time so that the proper execution and technique can be mastered. At this level, creative ideas are used to teach certain steps so that the student is having fun while learning. Level I is a structured ballet class but the element of fun is present. The typical Level I student takes Ballet class once a week and usually studies at least one other subject.
