Testimonials

"Our family moved to Marvin, NC three years ago. At that time our daughter was in the 9th grade. During her first year she attended one of the many Charlotte Dance studios. After that first year we decided to check into other studios in the area. Sullivan Dance Centre was recommended to us by a friend of a friend. The talented, creative, devoted, and caring dance instructors at Sullivan Dance Centre have challenged my daughter to achieve a much higher level of dance in ballet, modern, and jazz. She absolutely loves this studio. We drive past four other dance studios in order to get to Sullivan Dance Centre. Those extra miles have been worth it. I would like to add one very important observation. It is not easy for a teenager to move and be the "new girl" in a dance studio. The staff and the kids at Sullivan Dance Centre really made an effort to reach out to my daughter and make her feel welcome. I am so grateful to have found this studio." - Kelly Schoenborn

"Once upon a time we had a very, very active little girl. We decided to enroll her in anything that would help consume the extra energy that she always had. We started small, just a couple of dance classes. She then expressed the desire to be on the big girl team, which meant competition. We started at the studio closest to our home. She loved it! We were exhausted. One day she saw some girls do some amazing things on stage, things she wished she could one day do. Clarissa has always been a hard worker, but you and your teachers really put her determination to the test, back then and every day she attends class. Friends do not understand why we go through so much trouble. They think all dance schools are alike. They think she is “overbooked.” They are so wrong! Your students are lucky to have parents that believe in their children’s dreams. The money, the time, the long drive to and from your studio are worth it. So, here we are. Although we are still exhausted, there is no doubt in our minds that she is exactly where she should be. We wish this dream could last forever! Not only for us but for every child that dreams to dance, really dance not just shake their booty to loud, tacky music." - Cynthia Silvagno

"Sullivan Dance Centre is a place where I can be me. On bad days I can go there and dance my heart out and it makes it all better. On good days I can go to class and come out feeling even better! Like me, a lot of people who dance there refer to it as a home away from home and that’s exactly what it is. The teachers make you feel like family. Morning Star will always put a smile on your face. You can’t take a class from Lisa without laughing at her crazy noises. When you take a class with Missy she will push you but put a smile on your face in the process. Sara will always make you laugh. Melanie always gives great advice, teaches you amazing technique, and you will definitely laugh in her class too. Here you can make new friends and get inspiration from the staff and students." - Lydia Heidt (age 12)
